Intel unveiled its Bonanza Mine(BMZ2) at the ISCC conference today. Tomshardware reports that Intel has secretly shipped the Bonanza Mine(BMZ2) to some customers early for mining, and now the computing power and power consumption of the new generation of mining machines are revealed.

According to documents provided by mining company GRIID, the BMZ2 uses about 15% more power than the current mainstream Bitmain S19J PRO and costs about half the price of its rival (Intel's $5,625).  Long-term net profit can grow by 130% or more at the same mining difficulty and electricity cost.

GRIID also noted that Intel's ASIC mining machine uses a fixed pricing strategy, which is different from the bitcoin pricing strategy of mining companies such as Bitmain, which provides users with a good cost calculation strategy.

Establish blockchain ecology department

In addition, In order to expand its influence in the blockchain industry, Intel also set up a Custom Compute Group on February 11, led by Raja Koduri, Intel senior VICE President of graphics chips.

In addition to launching ASIC mining machines, Intel also launched NFT casting tools and chips. According to the department, it focuses on optimizing the energy efficiency of chips. Unlike traditional mining machines, which require complex cooling systems, the volume will be much smaller than traditional mining machines.  And through the tools provided by Intel, mining machine can also support various blockchain functions such as NFT casting.
